StreetSmart raises thousands for homeless charities in your city every year during November and December. In the 2006 campaign we raised the record-breaking sum of £500,000.

Since StreetSmart was established seven years ago, we have raised over £2,786,000 for the homeless.

We've grown both in terms of money raised and number of restaurants participating, and in 2006 over 90 homeless charities benefited from the campaign. So if you run a restaurant, do sign up, and if you simply eat out in them, make sure it supports StreetSmart - what's £1 at the end of a fantastic meal?

Quaker Homeless Action was established over 30 years ago when a group of Friends realised there was a need for an extension to the existing soup run service to offer food, shelter and Friendship to homeless people at Christmas, when many other services in Central London were closed. The Open Christmas project has been our main focus for many years and more recently we have established a Mobile Library service to provide books and friendship to people who are excluded from Public Libraries. At the moment we are working to develop a Befriending Scheme to support newly housed ex-homeless people.

The London Drug & Alcohol Network is a new London-wide organisation, set up to give advice, information and support to frontline services - those working directly with people who have drug and alcohol problems in London. It is the first time organisations providing drug and alcohol services have come together as one network to tackle the Capital's drug and alcohol problems on a pan-London basis. As the only organisation that represents the interests of London drug and alcohol service providers, the London Drug and Alcohol Network is uniquely placed to influence policy and practice on drugs and alcohol across London.
